Split-Level Style

A split-level style home is one that has two levels and sometimes offers an attached garage. Split-level homes are typically constructed in a ranch style design and can be built on smaller lots. Many suburbs began building split-level homes when the demand for housing increased. While there may have been a large demand for single family homes, there was much less of a demand for abundant lot space. Split-level homes usually have a living and dining area on the ground level as well as the kitchen and bathroom. Sleeping quarters are located on the top floor as well as additional bathrooms. This floor plan is great for growing families who may desire additional space and privacy. These ranch style homes can accommodate a family for many years because they offer adequate space as well as storage areas in the garage. These two-story homes are located in many suburbs across the United States.
