Steel Framing

Steel framing refers to a type of technique used to build a house. Steel is the most common material used in building commercial construction today and has become increasingly popular on the residential side as well. Steel homes are constructed using the same building methods as the traditional wood-framed houses. The costs associated with the steel houses run equal to that of wood homes. When using steel, there is a lot of flexibility for architects and builders in designing the home. The steel frame houses are more weather and wind resistant, and they can withstand a fire better than the traditional wood-framed homes. Steel will not rot, split or buckle. This will involve less maintenance in the long run. The houses are less likely to be infested with fungi, mold, termites or other insects. There is less a concern with indoor allergies when steel is involved.
