Pest-Control Inspection

Though many people will get inspections for other types of pests, a traditional pest-control inspection looks for termites. This is generally a required part of the home sale process in many contracts and in many states, and some states, such as California, require homeowners to have regular pest-control inspections. These inspections are important because of the large scale damage that certain pests can cause. Termites, for instance, have the ability to wreck a home’s foundation in a very short period of time. A pest-control inspection might be done along with the general home inspection leading up to a home sale. Inspectors will look for signs of active pests as well as signs of termite damage that might have already manifested in the property. Termite damage can be readily seen in the home’s foundation.
