IPG Real Estate was established in Manhattan New York. The founders of the company wanted to create a real estate company that was comprised of professional experts in all key areas of real estate. Most real estate related companies focus on a small area of real estate. IPG Real Estate was built on the concept that the best and brightest professionals can be brought together to service any real estate requirement or opportunity.

The President of the company – George Donohue – is one of the foremost experts in real estate. He was the President of the commercial real estate division of the oldest real estate company in the United States which was established in 1866. He was also the head of real estate for the World Trade Center in New York and is also a celebrated author of a best selling book on real estate negotiating. The company was part of the GMAC family of companies. After GMAC’s restructuring the company changed its name to IPG Real Estate.

The company initially was involved in office and retail leasing, investment sales and residential real estate. The company evolved into adding other services such as expertise in Bankruptcy-related Transactions, Valuations, Professional Advisory Services and Mergers & Acquisitions.

IPG will continue growing into the 21st century maintaining their mission of providing value, expertise and trust.
