Empty nesters are people who are searching for a smaller place to live. They are called empty nesters because they are older couples who have raised their children and are living in a house that has too much room for just the two of them. These are people who would like to simplify their lives after the youngest child has left home. Empty nesters often need a new home where they will not have as many responsibilities. For example, the houses where they raised their children often have yards where the children once played. This, however, means that they are required to do yard work. As people get older, they become less interested in maintaining a yard, and they seek an option that takes this work out of their hands. Empty nesters have the option of seeking condominiums where the landscaping will be the responsibility of the association.
